Introducing The North Face Red

The North Face Red is one of the newest additions to the showroom, a capsule collection of technical but wearable outerwear, which celebrates the expedition layering system first developed by the brand over 30 years ago.

The Mountain Jacket revolutionised the outdoor industry in 1985 as one of the first fully seam-taped climbing shells, the Mountain Lite series followed soon after. In 1989, the fleece Denali Jacket introduced zip-in compatibility with the Mountain Jacket and the Expedition Layering System was born.

The collection for SS16 consists of 8 pieces updated from the original designs, which can be mixed and matched to offer optimal protection from the elements.  A bold geometrical print runs through the range, referencing both the triangle stitching reinforcements used by the brand in the 70s and the triangular shape of the mountains. The print also takes inspiration from the Japanese Seigaiha ocean waves pattern.

Gimme Five has partnered with Slam Jam (Italy) to introduce the brand to selected European stores.
